You have the right to take part in the government. 

Everyone should be able to be involved in the decisions that shape their lives and impact their community. The right to participate in government is the basis for a free and equal society.

Here are 3 actions you can take to step up for Civic Engagement:

  1. Register for a workshop with the Civics Center, and learn how to host a voter registration drive at your school or in your community.  
  2. Pay attention to what your school board or board of trustees is doing. Attend their meetings and encourage them to include a student seat on the board.
  3. Sign up for one of Democrashe’s programs and gain the skills you need now to run for office later!
