GLI empowers and educates middle and high school students to advocate for human rights, gender equality, and access to equitable education. Together with our networks of student leaders, faculty advisors, parents, and program alumni, GLI is building a movement of informed advocates and a new generation of leaders and activists for social change. GLI is for everyone because human rights are for everyone!
GLI provides a student club framework and educational materials for students to learn about human rights issues including reproductive rights, environmental justice, LGBTQIA+ rights, racial justice, civic engagement, and more. GLI program materials are designed to help participants develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and advocacy skills.
GLI provides opportunities for students to connect locally, nationally, and internationally, including through our GLI at the United Nations program, the Summer Activist Training Camp , our Chapter Trainings & Action Workshops, the National Young Feminist Leadership Conference, and by writing for GLI’s Feminist Focus Blog.
